Other that a Hybrid K04, GT28/30, and IHI has anyone ever tried the Garret T34 or anything else on the S3?
S3 uprated turbo alternative?

I think the reason stick with these is because they work. T34 is journal bearing i believe and will be laggy in comparison to the GT series equivalent

T34 you can get cheap as chip and i know it might be laggy but just looking to see if anyone has fitted anything other than the normal
You might get more info in VWVortex, but still, people tend to stay away from the old stuff these days. In the long run you will probably end up changing it anyway.
