Chorus V Concert

Just a quicky...........

anyone know the diff between the Concert system and the Chorus system ?

The HU in my 2002 S3 is Chorus - made by Grundig - not sure what make the CD changer is

Most posts refer to the Concert system - whats the difference if any

Doesn't seem to be a lot of info on the Grundig Chorus, just that it was fitted to some Audi's 2000 onwards and was originally made by Blaupunkt pre 1999. The Concert was also made by Blaupunkt at the same time but now contracted out to Matsushita/Panasonic.
I doubt the spec is any different to the Concert, as all Audi HU's seem to be very similar, 25 x 2 to the front speakers with front & rear pre-outs.
The Chorus doesn't seem to have an ignition on connection, so must be using the CAN-Bus to sense when the keys are in the ignition. This means if you go aftermarket you'll have to wire in an ignition on lead, this is detailed on the forum under "ignition on" in the ICE section.
The only decent info was on Russian site, and my Russian is a bit rusty Grundig Chorus
