Morning all,

Been looking into buying a greddy turbo timer, has anyone got one/used one on this board?

Any problems etc, or a waste of money?? Can get one for £50.00 brand new!

Also I've just bought a Greddy 60m boost gauge, was wondering where everyone has fitted it theirs?? don't know wether to mount on the A pillar or make some sort of pod for it??

All info gratefully recieved /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Okey, I really thought my car had that as standard... I treated it like it had =/... I can hear the car cycling cooling-water for some minutes, doesnt it cool the turbo as well?

s3's do.

a timer runs an electric pump circulating coolant around the turbo jacket.

Think there was a discussion a while back about Turbo timers. I think the conclusion was that thre not need on the Audis as the Turbo is so small.

So to sum it up, a turbo timer does more good than harm, also the smaller the turbo have to work alot harder & are more prone to cracking etc due literally there size.
garrett T28 is more expensive to buy than a garrett T3, i can only imagine the reasons are due to the stress of the units.
