CORROSION what plan should I take

Hi iv hade my A3 for a while now and a little bit of corrosion on the back door is getting on my tits every time I see it. what plan do you think sounds the best.

1) find out how to remove all of the metal strip under the Audi sin and make a better respray job. ( dose any one no how to do this)

OR

2) mask the metal strip and just respray it.

photos of the corrosion and the metal strip im talking about any help would be grate.

Isnt that part plastic & think you need to open boot, remove the inner trim, then its bolted from the inside I think.

But I'd tape up the surrounding areas & then grind/rub down that corroded part of & then make sure if its metal any rust etc underneath is treated 1st, then prime then paint & lacquer, find a local chip repairer cause small paint job like that would be fairly cheap tbh & they can do a proper job with right paint code/lacquer.

yer it is metal and i will have a call around to see the cost but wanted to save a bit of cash as iv spent so muck this week on it lol. thanks for the reply
