Hey

so the car went in the garage yesterday and the slave cylinder has gone :banghead: the bloke down the phone says "so your looking at about £950 for the clutch and flywheel" pffft no thanks! so a couple of questions. Will the dual mass need replacing? the engine has done 89k and is on original clutch? if so, i've had a look on euro car parts and they have a clutch kit and dual mass flywheel for £380 made by luk? any good? so i figured that,

clutch + fly = £380
7 hours labour = £280
new slave cylinder = £30

Total = £690! so i dont know where on earth he got £940 from! its about £300 less minus the dual mass fly.

Any advice? my pockets arent deep enough for a performance kit :crying:

cheers

IIRC, LUK supply Audi with clutches.... only difference (other than price) is LUK branded doesn't have the Audi 4 ring logo on.

Yes LUK manufacture the Audi supplied items, ive recently fitted these to my car mate they are exactly the same as the originals the only difference's are not having the Audi logo's and as tuffty says the price.
