A3 quattro clutch + flywheel change (knackerd slave cylinder)
so the car went in the garage yesterday and the slave cylinder has gone the bloke down the phone says "so your looking at about Ł950 for the clutch and flywheel" pffft no thanks! so a couple of questions. Will the dual mass need replacing? the engine has done 89k and is on original clutch? if so, i've had a look on euro car parts and they have a clutch kit and dual mass flywheel for Ł380 made by luk? any good? so i figured that,
clutch + fly = Ł380
7 hours labour = Ł280
new slave cylinder = Ł30
Total = Ł690! so i dont know where on earth he got Ł940 from! its about Ł300 less minus the dual mass fly.
Any advice? my pockets arent deep enough for a performance kit

IIRC, LUK supply Audi with clutches.... only difference (other than price) is LUK branded doesn't have the Audi 4 ring logo on.
