Ive been looking to get the software to just do some checks to make sure theres no fault codes coming up or anyother problems with the car

Ive been looking and not really sure where to get the software from, dont wanna be forking out £200 on it, can you get it free anywhere and what cable would i need on a 2000 s3??

TBH, its the best money I have spent on my car. If you know a mate that has it then just buy him beer... if not, buy VAGCOM... you won't regret it, especially considering the spec of your car...

Dont bother getting a cheap imitation. IT cost me nearly £300 for my lead but its saved me over that amount.

I've not heard of them causing damage but they do tend to loose connection and generally not work 100% like the real deal.

You gets what you pays for, so don't expect the ebay cable to be as reliable or as compatible as the original cable.
