Coilover fiting!

Right, im going to attempt to fit my coilovers this weekend. I'm going to be doing it on my own with help from a mechanic for a couple of hours (but not all day). I have a a full workshop and did shocks and springs on a ford escort a year or so ago...

Just wondering how hard its going to be? and if anyone has any tips for me?

Also is someone could quickly run me through it that would be great

ps: Would it hurt if say i concentrated on getting the rears fitted, then drove it for a week and did the front the next weekend?

I cant really help but I reckon get the fronts fitted when your mechanics around, I think its harder than the rear.

Clcollins, you ****** legend! Just what i needed, had a quick scan thru it and i am much confident i can do it with ease

Its pretty much identical to the way i did it on my escort, im lucky to have the luxuries of a air gun and ratchet and a ramp!

If you have a ramp you will do it with no props

From what I remember it was a very easy job to do. The hardest part was removing the old shock from the hub assembly etc. I did mine last year and it took about 3 hours to do! Ramps would definitely make things easier! Good luck

The back is straight forward and will take less than than an hour , the front is more of a pain it would be a lot easier if you have the spreader tool though to get the old shock out .
I would definately do the back of the car first and then you can spend the majority of your day on the front.......
