engine managment

new guy on the forum here need some help

bought an s3 and the engine management light has gone on and the engine idle is moving slightly up and down, and seems to almost cut out if i turn the climate control on, yesterday i turned the xenons on and it dipped, any reason for this and any way it can be solved?

the car has hhad some engine mods -

neuspeed induction
front mount intercooler
re-map
miltek exhaust
sport cat and downpipe ( however the recieipt i have from pipewerx just says s3 cat and downpipe so im not 100% sure this is upgraded)

Welcome to the site! I would say clean your throttle first if that doesn't cure the issue your maf needs a clean or replacing. The lights are self leveling on the S3's and its common that the unit what controls that function goes faulty.

might sound stupid saying this but how would i clean the throttle body and where is it? also where is the maf,
thanks for the help, should these turn the engine management light off of do i need a garage to do that?
