Anyone had problems with there crank seal (timing belt side)?
Replaced a leaky one late last night as its been gradually getting worse since my rebuild (the only part i didnt replace) with a nice new shiney one from audi p/n 038 103 085e only to find today there's an even bigger leak. Did audi change the part at all? The one i took off was a standard seal with the metal spring section on the inner part. like this

The new seal didnt have the metal section but had a larger rubber piece insted!? Same part number, both apparently genuine parts. like this

note: pics are from google and are just examples of the seals i have removed and fitted.
