Haldex oil change

I was just wondering roughly how long it would take to fit a haldex control unit, and to change the oil and filter??

Think it takes about a couple of hours, but you have to do it when the car is warm so that the oil can be drained for easily.

Yeah, think its a couple of hour job. i think you need some specialist tools to do the job yourself, dont quote me but im sure ive seen some ads for haldex removal tools somewhere.

You'll need a tool to remove the oil filter; which can be had from ebay or your local motorfactor can probbaly get them from sealey or lazer tools, and some allen keys to remove the contol unit, not a bad job to do, can be a bit fiddly to get to, especially if not on a ramp, but not a hard job.

Just had my Haldex oil changed. How often should this be done on my S3 and why can I not see anything about this in my service book or manual?

20k and oil and filter every 40k is a option outside the regular service like brake fluid etc

either every 20 or every 40k i think. Someone will know for sure.

That is the service schedule indeed for the Haldex service, I'd change the filter every 20k miles if driven hard though.
