esp liight stays on help!

whent out in my 2003 a3 1,9 tdi and was driving it hard and fast down the a12 but on the way back home the esp light came on and now will not come off even when i press the button and swtich the ignitoin off?

Is the ABS light on also? Ideally you will need to get VAGCOM plugged into your car to find out what the problem is but it will only be a sensor and nothing major.

thanks mate if its the abs light aswell its the back breaks i know thay need doing. cheers mate. all so when i turn the ingnition on it beeps 3 time inside where i sit like a warning sound

The 3 beeps is your alarm telling you that the reserve batteries on the siren can no longer hold their charge and require replacing. Do a search for "3 beeps" and you'll find loads of stuff on this.

IIRC if the ABS and ESP lights are on its an ABS issue. If its just the ESP light then its an ESP issue.

This is because the ESP is dependent on the ABS system so if the ABS is disabled so is the ESP.

But get it on a vag-com it will tell you whats wrong
