Remote Flip Key

Hi Guys,

Lots of informative info on this forum, will come in useful in the future!

But!

I recently got my A3 and i am wondering what sort of range you can expect to get from your remote locking?

Mine doesn't seem to be much over a few meters...
Seems a bit short to me.

30 foot at the most I'd say mine was.

Did u ever see the Top Gear episode where Jermy C Put the remote to his head and pressed it, for some strange reason u get a better range lol Dont ask me how but it works.
The next time u open your car stand as far away as u can with the remote ( till it stops working ) them try putting it against you head and press it. It works for some crazy reason.

Mine is only a few feet and sometimes i can be almost within touching distance of the car and I have brand new batteries in it!

My remote central locking doesn't work at all when my s3's been out in the cold... as in I have to use the key in door old fashioned style and it only opens the door that I unlock (although bizarrely I can operate my central locking as normal from within the car...)

Anyone else had this problem?
