Coolant temp sensor where is it?

Got a fault code for this and got the part but where is it to change it?
Its a 1.6 a3 2000 prefacelift

it should have 2.
one on the side of the radiator and one on the upper chamber of thr coolant housing which is bolted on the left hand side of the cylinder head
