What spare wheel?

Numpty question but...

Could someone please tell me what spare wheel i should have? Its a 1997 1.8t, standard 16 inch wheels. Should it be a space saver or full sized?

Scrappy's seem to be shy of a3's at the mo, will a spare from a golf fit?

I've got a couple of long journeys coming up and dont want to risk it with out a spare.

My 2000 A3 has a spare 16" standard sport alloy. You could pick up a spare steel from a MK4 golf and I'm sure it would be fine. The PCD etc is the same as the A3 on the Golf 4 etc.
