A3 1.8t suspension question

Hi Everyone,

Have a question about suspension on my A3 1998 1.8t. I have a broken spring on the front passanger side (speed bumps don't you jou just love them) and I am getting some quotes for new set of front springs but unsure if the car as sport chasis? as springs seem to be different.

I have checked vechicle doc and on V5 it is a 1.8t sport but on other documents it isn't. Is there any way anyone knows of checking the actual car ? chasis number? or anything like that so I can order correct springs.

Help Really stuck and the car sounds like zebedeeeee until i get this fixed.

Ring a audi dealer. They will no from your Reg number what suspension your car has (just to get info), Or just fit a new suspension kit. Contact Damian @ DPM Performance. www.dpmperformance.co.uk
You got the same car as me and mine had the sports suspension

All A3 1.8T's are classed as sport...I think...

Hi guys thanks for the help, spoke to audi dealer and discovered car has paint code on springs to tell if sport springs. 1 violet then 4 yellow dots if sport. Mine is sport so more expensive springs but got to the bottom of it eventualy.

I think all 1.8T's are technically classed as being "T-sport" models.
