i've dropped an almighty ******* - cars only 4 weeks old and ive managed to write off a tyre already (brick in road!!!!! :-( ) anybody had audi replace a pirelli pzero 225/45/17 91Y - just want to know what to expect - im reckoning its gonna be a couple of ton from audi after they marked it up and charged rediculous labour rates!!!!

cheers

I know that feeling mate - ripped a goodyear eagle not long after first buying mine - so close to /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif!!!

is it jus the tyre you are after?

well cos thats where i bought the car from and if when i have had tyre replaced there is the slightest bit of vibration i will come down on them like a ton of bricks - the last car i had was never the same after the first set of tyres dont know why - hope this one doesnt go the same - jeeez i cud kick myself if only i had swerved a little bit more i only caught it by about 20mm

Most Audi dealers don't even do their own tyre work, so why pay such ludicrous rates for a £100 tyre?
Ring up a local alloy wheel specialist and ask them where they get their fitting done. It won't be a high street outfit but a specialist wheel fitter. Make sure they use the stick on weights which are far more accurate than the rim variety, as well as being kinder to your wheels.

sorted! luckily with a little 'being economical with the truth' i am getting the tyre replaced under warranty!

phew!! now just hope they dont damage my wheel in the process of replacing as apparantly they get kwik fit to do tyres they dont stock!!
