Audi/VW CD Changer

Can any tell me why the cd changer in the girlfriend Polo GTi will not play some cd's? The cds work in my changer (which is the same isn't it) & they are not copies.

Also how do you change the bulbs/led in the high level brake light.

Is it consistent with the ones it won't play? It maybe it just needs a lens clean.

It always the same cds which ever slot they go in.

Well the Panasonic changers all play CDR's no problem so I can't understand why the VW would be fussy.
It's not because they've got a bit of video on them or something is it which could be confusing it.
If you burn one onto CDR does that cure the problem?
