    CV Boots need changing?

    Hi all,

i am new to the site, i have a 2001 S3 which needs new CV boots, does have a rough idea of how much these cost to get changed, i will get these done by an independent - don't want to be fleeced by Audi !

I've just had one replaced on my S3. The boot kit including a new hub nut was 30 from audi but under a tenner from a local motor factor, i went for oem.

I attempted to fit it myself but after struggling to split the cv joint from the driveshaft took it to my local vag independant and was charged 40 labour, which also included the brakes bleeding.

I still have the part numbers if you want them.

Oh and welcome to the site

    Thanks Wibble,

I am going to ask a local place to give me a price tomorrow, my brother uses them for his A4 and says they are quite reasonable on price, so hopefully they will be less than 200 to replace both.
