gearbox help needed! -poss conversion

hi people, i've been trying to find out what the gearbox code is for my a3...
its a 1.8 20v se
engine code is AGN but i cant find any gearbox codes or anything on the internet!
could someone please educate me?

apart from that because it will cost alot....would a 1.8t lump drop straight into it?

The code will be on the build sticker top right iirc. Or in the service book assuming you have one.

As for a 1.8t, it will physiclay bolt in, but wirirng, plumbing, induction,fuel supply, exhaust,ecu etc. All different. If you had a smashed donor car then maybe it would be worth a go, but insurance companies really dont like it
