Hi,

After my initial thread 2 weeks ago i have now found out that i do not have the full DIS, therefore mine is blank when i am driving around. But somebody has mentioned that it can be programmed using VagCom to display the outside temperature, which i wouldnt mind having.

Having spoken to DjAkster, he has agreed to help me out to program the alarm beep, but is unsure on how to program the DIS to show this outside temperature, and has asked that I ask around on here for some help. Can anyone provide some instruction on how to do this please, and also if you can think of any other decent upgrades that can be performed on my A3.

to set the ambient temperature to show on the display, go in to number 17, which is instrument cluster coding. go to channel 19. note the original code in case you need to go back for any reason. now change the 4th digit (2nd from the end) to a '1'. this will enable thhe outside temp to be displayed when the ignition is on
