    Suspension adjustment

    Recently i fitted the Eibach coilovers to my 1.8T non quattro. and i have set them up as best as i can and they feel fantastic. but i would like to know if there is any way of ensuring that all corners are level and that i've got the adjustment right.

    measure the distance between the adjuster and the bottom/top of the shock...

    Also, have you had the alignment/tracking .etc checked yet?

    Excellent. Need any special tools? I think i got everything... just got my spring compressors. Sorting mine out at the weekend (weather permitting). The back will take about 20minutes per side i reckon... so will do them friday night.

    One of the main reason for fitting height adjustable suspension is so you can adjust the corner weights of the car.

    Just because the adjustable spring pans are at the same height doesn't mean the car is level or the weight is balanced between the wheels.

    If you want the handling to be spot on I'd take it along to a motorsport specialist who will be able to measure your corner weights and get it set up properly.

    21mm for the original suspension and a 22mm for the new Eibach

    Rich, you hold the allen key still and undo the large nut.

    Thanks guys. I'm only changing the springs for the time being. have already done the rears.. only took an hour total so not too bad!
