HID facelift headlights

just wondering how you can distinguish HID facelift and standard facelift headlights just by looking at them?

Well only the facelift S3's came with Xenon D2S type bulbs...and the A3 facelifts came with Halogen H7s...

i dont mean when they are turned on, i mean by the headlight unit themselves, cuz obviously when i buy a set of facelift headlights i dont want to buy a set that are only suitable for the halogen bulbs if ya get me?

As long as you get projector headlamps which i'm fairly sure all facelift units are ... then you can just fit a HID kit.... thats all i've done.... projectors have the glass ball inside... http://www.audifans.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=25706
