Turbo question

Not sure where to post this but whilst coming home on the m11 this afternoon in the glorious sunshine i thought id stretch the cars legs, first time since i had it. so i did. after a few miles i slowed down to traffic speed, about 75ish... then i went to overtake a car and noticed the turbo wasnt coming in, so i slowed a little changed down to 4th and still no turbo, all the way home it was like it.

when i got home, i left it running for a few mins and turned it off, left about 5mins and took it out and it was ok!

its a turbo diesel and i confess im completely new to diesels and turbos, so can anyone help me out as to what happened?

Sounds like a case of limp mode if such a thing exists on a diesel. Get it checked for codes (VAGCOM or equiv) and see if anything has come up. Without that its gonna be difficult to suggest what to look at next.

my a3 tdi did the same ,tuned out to be a build up of carbon in the turbo vains , i put fuel additive in and it made it beter
