    S3 prices??

My Sister is looking at selling her 52 plate, 2 owner (+ demo) S3 with 53k on the clock. Full S/H
She "forgot" to get the cambelt changed at the 5 year interval so she will be getting this done before selling (will this have a detrimental effect on it's value?).

What does everyone reckon it's worth? They seem to be advertised on pistonheads etc for way more than book??

    Glasses
    Excellent condition:
    7200
    Average condition:
    6460
    Below average condition:
    5740

Are they achieving more than book? Oh and it's in good condition (silver leather, ming blue combo)

    Any advise would be great

    Thanks in advance!

I would say somewhere between 8-9k once the cambelt has been done? Does that sound about right?

To be honest the way things are at the moment, she would be lucky to get 7.5k - 8k for it mate, its just the way it is unfortunately, not the best time to sell a high performance or luxury car, although its a great time to buy!!!

    You guys are so lucky.
I imported mine in october and paid a tad over 17k for her, which is still about 3k cheaper than they sell for over here.
Loved getting an 5000 bill just for the taxes.

Edit: And yeah, not to mention it's a -99, doesn't have ESP, and not in THAT great condition.

my thoughts are buy a car that you wont get bored of then let it will last while you save for the next, the longer it lasts the better the next car...thats the theory
