Bose Subwoofer Speakers...

I've been having problems with my Bose sound system recently, one the the speakers ni the subwoofer box tends to intermitently get looud and distaughted.. for about 3 secoonds then stop every now and then..

Its a bit of a pain when your listening to music you like, or even chatting and it goes off... it does it for longer periods of time too.. its strange..

Anyone got advice?

I took the speakers out, they are both in fine looking order. one has a tiny hole in the outter part whichn i have photographed.

At the moment their both in the garage as I got fustrated..

Has anybody had this before?

there was a issue with the volume knob, but I thought that was when you turned down the radio it got louder ???? but may be the same thing
