gear knob

allright guys, how do i remove the gear knob on my A3 1.8T QUATTRO,or dont they come off? was thinking of replacing with an aftermarket one but dont know how they detach any help would be gratefull cheers:icon_thumright:

Start by pulling up the gaitor, squeeze the sides together at the bottom and it should work free. Then pull the gaitor up (inside out) over the top of the knob, you should now see the bottom of the knob where you have to remove a clip, then the whole lot pulls off.
