Resetting onboard computer

Hello! Ive got a 98 A3 1.8T on which the reset on the onbaord computer doesnt appear to work, the instant and average mpg readings are working but all the other settings dont reset with the reset button, does disconnecting and reconnecting the battery act as a reset or do I need it properly looked at?

I believe disconnecting the battery does reset these records. Ive had mine disconnected mine over night and lost these, im sure.

Yep disconnect the battery. Mine did this before.

disconnected and hooked straight back up and sorted...

But make sure you have your radio security code before you do it
