decat and downpipe on 1.8 turbo?

has anyone done this, is there any good power gains to be had? bearing in mind i will get a remap to suit after? thanks

iv de-cated mine not sure about power gains but the noise level went up so assume its alot more free flowing, people say the s3 cat is not that restrictive but it has made difference.

is yours remapped? i heard its good if you get that done?
