O/S mirror judder - '02 A3

Hi All,

Got a problem with the driver's side mirror on my other half's A3.

When adjusting it, you can hear the motor, but the mirror glass judders or jumps as it moves and it won't move out far enough without a 'helping hand'.

Any ideas?

I remeber my dads old transporter had this problem, it turned out to be the glass was not aligned and fitted flush... refitted it and it was ok.

Just an idea?

I must admit it did look a bit close to one side of the unit.

I'll give it a go.

No worries, If this dont work then i guess just replace the motor could probably get one dirt cheap fro a breaking car.
