Hub nut size on A3 1.8t sport pre facelift

i have a squeek/squeal coming from my o/s wheel.ive just fitted new pads and thought it could be them just bedding in.
i jacked it up yesterday to take a look and the discs and pads seem fine.
what i notices though was like a red dust around the back of the hub where the end of the rubber cv gaiter goes into the hub.
I was going to pull the gaiter back and take a better look.
im thinking it could be the wheel bearing although i done get a whine like a wheel bearings on its way out.
what ever it is sounds like its dry and needs greasing?
any ideas?

So did the sound only start occuring after fitting the pads of was it evident prior?
If you don't have any scraping, grinding or whirring noises from the front hub, then I would leave it alone.
Remove the caliper and spin the assembly to see if the squeak remains.

it does sound like something is grinding causing the squeel/squeeking
its odd as the wheel spins fine and the pads arnt catching or anything
when i saw the red rust looking dust around where the gaiter thats what got me thinking it could be the bearing or hub
it starting doing it after having a ball joint and wishbone done and im thinking they may have over tightened the nub nut?
you dont happen to know the torque setting for the hubnut do you or have any other ideas?
