I was on the way to work and some woman pulled out in front of me ****** lol only had the car 2 monthshttp://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r453/ANDYTIVEY/299.jpg
Not sure about wright of, but the bumper, bonet, side arch, door will need replacing, All the bits attched the wheel looks like it will need reparing to
Is that the airbags which have gone off? And is it me or is the passenger door bent? I hate to say it but with that amount of damage I reckon there's a good chance that the insurance will write it off!
Thats got to be around £3.5k to fix with labor would you think at a body shop? Cant see that being a write off, but if so buy it back and fix it on the cheap is what i would do.
It's a pretty safe bet in my opinion. To replace airbags to OEM standard costs thousands. Add that to all the body and suspension work that needs doing and the repair bills will easily exceed the value of the car in this current climate.
As Jacko says it may be worth buying it back and repairing yourself but it's still not gonna be cheap.
Write of, thats bent the chassis, wheel pushed that far in, had same with my vr6 years ago, you can see the doors pushed along, is there footwell damage in passengers side, if so with airbags gone aswell forget it fella, buy the car cheap after payout & sell the parts or jig it up & fix, just curiously how fast was she going, knocking that out like that needs some force
See what they want for it, buy it back and split it might be worth doing. Plent of good parts for peeps there. Depends on the price they come back with i supose.
Hi mate sorry to hear the bad news simlar thing happened to me 3 weeks after i bought it. Where you from if your not too far away I know a very good place to take it before your insurance guy gets his grubby hands on it.
Unlucky mate, most important thing is that you are fine firstly, and secondly, the other person has insurance and accepts liability! Hope it hasn't put you off owning such a car, but they are easily replaced.
Im still going to get another s3 if this 1 is written off and the other driver was insured and will be paying out even the police said it was her fault.
