Hey all

Im thinking of buying these for my S3 at £139.99 + P+P
What u think.
These r genuine arent they aswell.

Tanya, You may have trouble fitting them as your S3 is pre-facelift and these are for facelifted vehicles.

These are not genuine Audi mirrors. These are ABS plastic that have been chrome plated.

I bought a set and the quality of them is excellent, however they definately do not fit a pre 2001 model S3.

The ones selling on Ebay are made by In-Pro and are p/n 5147. You, me and all other pre-facelift people need p/n 5146.

Cliff is a memebr on this forum and has had quite a few sets of these mirrirs now. I think he has a contact in Germany.

I think he has advertised them (or similar) on marketplace
 
I just bought Grants (Imola S3) mirrors and fitted them today. Honestly Tanya if you can get a set of these then do!! It will save you a lot of money over genuine ones and the ABS plastic with chrome plating looks excellent. You can only tell they are not "metal" if you touch them.

I was well impressed and they finish the car off
 
check the german ebay aswell!! sometimes there might be a good deal, just type "audi spiegel" then get a second translator web page up to help with the language. paying can be tricky sometimes though, good luck
 
They cost £138 all in including next day delivery!

they are £60.89+vat delivered. This is for pre AND post facelift models, but obviously need to be specified.

Would the mirrors fit a new style A3? Sorry, Im not sure if there is any difference between the mirrors on the A3 and S3. Its an 04 model.

unfortunately not. And they dont currently do them for the new A3.

That's what I'm starting to think!

Cliff was advertising these in the Marketplace for £130 + £8.

I bought these from Excursion who bought them from Cliff. I then sold them for the same price I paid, as they did not fit my car. I feel kind of guilty for selling them to Jamie (JamS3), now knowing you can buy them for half what I sold them for. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
 
I don't need them as I already have the RS style brushed alu housings but is that price per pair or each?
