am having my S3 service this weekend, just wanted a bit of advice on what oil should i use.
should it be fully synthetic and is quantiunm a good brand of oil

is that a fully synthetic oil, do you know where i could get hold of it a good prices

Don't know if it's fully synthetic but you can get it from Esso petrol stations or CostCo if you or someone you know has a card.

its fully synthetic and about £40 for 4 ltrs you will need 4.5 ltrs kwik fit do a mobil 1 oil change for about £40 but they use cheap filters best to get a audi one maybe get kf to change the oil with your filter and then you don't have to get rid of your old oil

You can get an oil filter and sump plug from VAG Parts. If you feel inclined, it is fairly easy to change the oil yourself although, as Pete says, you'll need to dispose of the oil. I think 4l of Mobil 1 from Esso is £36.

is castrol gtx magnetex semi-synthetic oil good to use. the garage am getting my car serviced by use that. Its Seat dealership but am not sure whether i should provded my own oil. what do you guys suggest.

No Don't use that oil. Use Either Castrol SLX or Mobil 1.

Cheers
Rich.

I know Motul oils are good for bike engines but not sure about cars.

Mobil 1 for me
