A3 Ingolstadt German Edition

Hi all,
new to this site.
I own a 1996 A3 1.8T Sport in Silver and it is badged 'INGOLSTADT GERMANY EDITION'.
Its a great car and has full leather seats, air con, climate control, elec sunroof and wing mirrors.

Just wonered if anyone knew anything about this model?
I've not seen another badged the same.
