Re: BAILEY MOTORSPORT DV30 RE-CIRCULATING DUMP VALVE

The DV30 is a recirc dump valve and therefore it will work.

However, for 99.88 it is expensive.

I would recommend calling AmD and asking them for a Viper DV. You should get discount if you say you are an Auto-Sport.net member.

Re: BAILEY MOTORSPORT DV30 RE-CIRCULATING DUMP VALVE

Apparently, Bailey Motorsport are in their final testing stages of an atmospheric dump valve for the S3 and TT.

They told me that they have a few cars on test at the moment and should know the outcome in 3-4 weeks.

A piston dump valve will help reduce turbo lag when changing gear and also prolong the life of your turbo.

Re: BAILEY MOTORSPORT DV30 RE-CIRCULATING DUMP VALVE

    Right here we go !

I friend and I were messing about with Dump Valves last week and he put the DV30 on his Fiat Coupe so I thought lets try the DV26 (Evo) Apmospheric one on my S3 seemed to run fine, and sounded quite cool but a couple of days later I could feel the car juddering on the Motorway and the ESP would stay on all the time.

This may sound strange but I swapped the Dump valve back to the OEM one and the light went out and the car ran perfect !

Any Ideas on Why this light would come on ?

Re: BAILEY MOTORSPORT DV30 RE-CIRCULATING DUMP VALVE

Is it because this engine was designed to have a recirc fitted and the missing air thats going out into the atmosphere and not into the engine is missed by the ECU. This will give a very rich fuel mixture and slight power loss. Correct me if im way off!
