underbonnet goodies...

ok, today i recieved and fitted some led number plate bulbs,

and tohught id dig out some ultra 501 led bulbs i had from aprevious car and fit them too, eventually gave up on fitting them due to being fiddly and cold. maybe another day.

but whilst under the bonnet took a couple pics.
i knew i had a induction kit from when i bought it,
but only today seen that its a bmc cda silver carbon job
seems it also has a oil breather filter too. are these actually useful??
will the induction kit actually be making much difference too?
seeing these mods makes me think that the rumour when i bought it of it being revo'd are a little more likely to be true, but who knows.

Also, seen a few pics with the s3 having a carbonfibre engine covers etc..
any one know where these can be got and how much roughly??

i ve got one of these but its got the alloy ring round the cap, cost me £ 160 and the colour or the carbon has started to go a greeny colour, does look good but exspensive

The oil breather tend to vent fumes which can make their way into the cabin. On my old car I didnt have a breather filter and instead turned the pipe upside down so it was hanging at the bottom of the engine. Other option is an oil catch tank.
