key programing

hi guys,
i lost my key for my s3 some time ago now and thought its about time i got a spare, after some research i thought i would take a trip to my local breakers pick up a fob get a new blade cut and get it reprogramed to match the car. However my local breakers said i could have one for £10 but its no good and it cant be done,after a bit more research i am lead to belive the chip is a once only programmable chip,am i better off just goin to the main stealers for new key???

Happy new year ,

no dont do main dealer just buy top half from ebay brand new only like £10 quid then buy remote part i can program as set up if u want !!

My S3 came with only one key, I did the same as S3Mad suggested I bought the blank flip out key from ebay for £12, but the alarm section i couldnt get so i got it from an Audi stealer, cost me £50, then £12 to get it coded, If you do go to a stealer you'll need you V5 doc as well.

If you get both parts and can get to me i can code it for you for a small price compard to audi .
