How long is the standard suspension supposed to last on the 8L's?

i'm hearing some creaking as I go over bumps.

thats your bushes mate, unfortunately they dont last long at all!!

Haha, put powerflex poly ones on there, they bring a whole new meaning to the word creak.

The rear ones sound like they need replacing most or am I best off replacing all 4 at once?

where's the best (cheapest) place to get them from?

if you want direct replacements try GSF or Euro Car Parts.
if you want uprated one, do a google for powerflex

i would personally go to Audi....my experiance of Europarts etc are that you get what you pay for in most instances..... a cheaper alternative

bushes arent that expensive from the dealer, its £250 for a full powerflex pack andf they are dearer than Audi ones

Just had a look at the diagram on the powerflex website. At the moment the rear is causing me the most problems so am I right in assuming I only need the Rear Beam Mounting Bushes?

Is this a DIY job or does the car need to be up on a ramp?

i've been quoted £80 labour to have them repalced. Is this reasonable?
