Engine fault code P0171

Hi can anyone help??? i have a 2000 s3 and have recently had the engine management light come on at my mot,the fault code being P0171 system too lean (bank 1) thus resulting in my car failing the mot due to the emissions test being unable to be carried out as the car wouldn't hold revs at 2500rpm??
I have noticed upon inspection that the hose at the top r/h side top of the engine near the cam chain? is broken! i have been told this could be the problem so i need to replace the hose before i check out the maf to see if its dirty or faulty...can anyone give me the part no. plz...thanks ...

it suggests checking your MAF sensor (give it a clean with isopropanol - theres a how to on here somewhere and it'll set you back a fiver)
