Where do I plug in a VAG code reader?

The traction control/ESP light keeps coming on on my 2000 A3 1.8t. I've changed the sensors on both front hubs but the fault is still there.
My Mrs works for GSF and I've managed to get hold of a VAG code reader but it doesn't tell me where to plug it in.

If anyone could help that would be great. Also where can I find a list of the codes??

where u based i can reset the code for you .

Google or Ross-tech.com for the codes.

Have a look in the centre console or on ross-tech sites again for the socket.

I'm in Norwich. Where in the center console?? Is it likely to be behind a a plastic blanking plug next to the ESP and hazrad light buttons??
I dont really want to start pulling bits apart if i dont need to!!
