i got my s3 about 2 months ago, the water pump is leaking heavily so needs replacing, my question is if its safe to drive a couple of miles to my local garage and also do i need to replace the cambelt and tensioner as it was only replaced 3 thousand miles ago? strangly the waterpump did not leak before the same garage replaced the coolant last week, the "mechanic" cleaned the expansion bottle with a jet washer could this have put too much pressure on the water pump and broke the seal? any help would be much appreciated

it might be they didn't tighten it to the correct torque when they did the water pump. You could explain the problem to the garage and tell them that the leak happened AFTER the coolant change.

If it's not that far, I guess you can drive to the garage.
