CAM BELT?

this crops up here quite a lot, so have a go at doing a search, but I paid £165 (1.8T). Someone said that seemed a bit cheap the other day here, but it was just an audi specialist (phil mitchell stylee), and it was part of my 80k service, if that made any difference!
80K? My Audi dealer advised me to change it at 120k... and now its in bits on their floor as the tensioner went.
FrOgR - I assumed yours was 120k because you'd already had one cambelt service done. Are you telling us that 120k was the FIRST cam belt??

Yup acording to book 120K is its first change.. probs why its still in bits at Audi i'll update my post for the finer details /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Just putting mine in for a 10k service at 110k miles, last cam belt change was at 79k. Garage suggested I have it done, sounds a bit premiture to me so I said no, any suggestions?
