Hi, My girlfriend got a 51 plate S3, 265bhp and koni springs. Recently the ESP light has turned on as she's been driving along the moterway for NO reason. Also I got in the car the other day and the sat nav screen came up "No CD Shuttle" even tho it was in there, also when she starts the car up sometimes it beeps 5 times at the back of the car, I'm presuming this is s prblem with the CD shuttle as I've been getting the above error!

Any help would be appreciated as I dont really want to go to the Audi garage only for them to spend 20 minutes on the car and charge me fr 5 hours work at £6,000000 per hour lol...

On a lighter note I have to say, I drive a A4 1.8T Quattro Sport and I thought that was fun... OMG, I have a race with an R32 the other day and spanked it, dont think he was happy hehe, oh and a week before that I raced a Boxter s, 54 plate and he couldnt loose me in the wet back roads on the way to my work, he wasnt happy but think he could see my big grin in his mirror hehe.....

Beeps from the back on startup mean that the alarm in the battery siren is on the way out. There are some instructions on the site which show how to replace it if you want to DIY.

The beeps as above chap says is the alarm in the boot - mine has done this for the past couple of years only during cold weather. Ignore it.

I would guess the ESP light is a faulty sensor - its usually the lateral sensor. Need to have the car put on vagcom to check the error. See if someone local can do this for you or take it to a local audi specialist.

The ESP light can be linked to the maf, not saying it is that but a completely shot maf or bad wiring connection will cause the ESP light to come on, but if that was the case you would be down on power a bit .. I presume the light goes off when you next start the car, it can also be a faulty ABS ECU i think, if the light is always on that is. ]
It's not much to worry about if it doesn't happen much and the light goes off when you next start the car, i think this happens to a few people, me included the last time was probably a few months ago, but i never got to the bottom of it, when it has happened and i've vag comed it, it comes up with maf signal to high, but my maf is actually ok as i've logged the readings.

mine does it when booting it from a standing start on occasions...... comes on and i have to switch engine off to remove it....no VAG com errors or anything

Cheers guys, the beeping only seems to be in the cold so if it is only the alarm siren then thats cool, sont worry about it too much. As for the ESP I'll look into the sensor! Forgot to mention one other problem, hasnt happened for a while but occasionally when we close doors the interior lights flash and we have to open all the doors and close them again, presuming it a fauly door close sensor or something

Cheers for all your help guys, knew it would be the right move to ask you lot )

Personally i'd get the alarm sorted out, they'll come a point where the alarm will start randomly going off in the middle of the night.....and neighbours wont like you very much !! Lol

The problem with the interior light is a faulty door sensor.....
