As I stated in my earlier post, cars haveing problems.

Just wanted to know a unchipped S3 "theoretically should be able to pull away from standard TDI's and GTI's right?

The best thing to do is find out the bhp and weight for the car in question.

Divide the bhp by the weight in tons to get the power to weight ratio... i.e. bhp per ton.

The car with the higher power to weight ratio should do better!

(an S3 is 1350kg which is 1.35 tons)

I used to race my mate in his Golf Mk4 Gti Turbo all the time and always pulled away from him! I was in a standard S3 210bhp model.

We did loads of tests i.e travelling behind each other and then floring it at the same time. everytime I pulled a few car lengths away.
