HID not flat

I have just installed some HIDs on my 8L and it's not flat...



I have checked the bulb, but it's in position and you can't really nudge it...

so is that normal??

This is normal..... so you don't blind on coming traffic! Do they auto adjust when turned on, sometimes they need setting up on vag com i think??

These are the exact same on my 8l mate and thats the way they are. Passed MOT fine with them.

if they WERE flat they would be illegal.

The kick up to the left is to illuminate the nearside edge of the road, or you could consider it a kick down on the right so as not to blind on comming traffic.

All UK RHD headlights should project a similar pattern.

and is the reason why you have to fir stickers to your lights when you go to places like France

dont facelift lights have a thing on the rear of the headlight too shift the beam pattern to suit RH or LH ?
