Hi there, can anyone please provide the correct way of filling and bleeding an audi a3 cooling system, as i understand there is no bleeding screw however I am told there is another method that can be done without using the vw vas 6096 tool that will bleed the car for you, can you provide an extract from either bentley or haynes or tell me where ii can find this info documented.

thanks

there is a bleeding screw on the right hand side of the radiator (facing front of car), at the bottom.

When bleeding, you'd want to purge air at the highest point where it gathers. I didn't know there was a specific technique.

After filling, I always run my car for a little while with the expansion tank cap off and watch the level drop. Then top up and drive the car to get it to full temp.
Wait for it to cool down again and then top up if neccessary.
