Vag commander on egay

Ive been looking at these on ebay and there seem to be more and more popping up. I know these are copies but has anyone had any luck with them?

I bought one about 6 months back and never got it working always got "Target unit not responding" never bothered to return it though...

Although some of them on ebay say guaranteed to work etc etc...

Just wanted your views as vag commander is a very good bit of kit just cant afford original...

Was thinking of just e-mailing the ones in london and saying can i come and see it working before buying
