just been out in my s3 and the traction control light come on and stayed on the dash could not turn it off by the button? so pulled over turned of engine and started again and was all fine happend to me twice now anything to worry bout cheers?

Sounds like a sensor failing, probably a lateral acceleration sensor or similar. Get the codes read on VAGcom.
Yeah, sounds like the lateral or longitudinal acceleration sensors. They are about £110 each and are a DIY fit. Undert the steering column for facelift and behind glovebox for pre-facelift.
