hi there new to this site have a 03 reg standard audi s3 and find that get a vibration come up through the steering wheel like the wheel it self is loose knockin now and again but not like the wheels are out of balence any ideas also feel rele light with 36psi all round on 18s

Might be the steering rack?

My S3 had a knocking coming from it on tight left hand turns. It was still covered by the warranty so Audi replaced it and so far -touch wood- I haven't had any problems.

They kerbed my alloys badly and waiting for them to fix them but thats the only thing!

Could be a number of different things, depends when and at what speed you get the problem:
Loose wheel
Loose brake caliper
Worn suspension bushes
etc etc

yeah got warrenty on mine still cheers for the advice will get thm to check all of it cheers

does this happen at all speeds ???? and just driving or while acc / braking ??? Try 34 in the fronts 36 is a little high and may be giving you the light feel . 32 feels better in mine but have 34 as the tyres wear better
